We can't thank you all enough...

We've been staggered by the concern and generosity of our friends and family. On this page, we'll thank some of the people who've helped out both before and after the birth, with gifts or good wishes.

We send our heartfelt thanks to our parents, who were there when we needed them but also knew to give us some space to become our own family. Especially to mom for the baby clothes and stuff you bought, to dad for the good food, especially the salsa and the tamales (yum!)

We thank the staff of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, who gave us very good medical care during our stay in the hospital.

We thank our colleagues at work, who were understanding and supportive, and especially to the LRC staff for the wonderful baby-shower you arranged for the mother.

We thank our friends and relatives who sent us gifts for the baby, and for friends in Singapore who kept in touch with us by e-mail.

Lastly, we thank Joel, friend of Gustavo (Cheryl-Anne's uncle) who wrote the piece of prose you see on the home page.

(7/29/00 update)
Special thanks to Marie Davis, RN, IBCLC, for her help in overcoming nipple confusion and building up my milk supply, for which I am very grateful.
Also thanks to the folks of the pumpingmoms list, from whom I learned a lot. From there I learned there are many moms expressing breastmilk for their babies, and facing many challenges. Keeping up their milk supply seems to be a constant struggle. I don't think I'll be exempted from the difficulties ahead, but it is great to find support from folks who are likewise engaging in this - what someone on the list calls - labor of love.
